Public Reading

Update August 18, 2023: 1) The RSVP has been modified to allow for Zoom participation. You will receive the Zoom link via email. 2) A location map has been embedded.

I have scheduled a public reading of some of my writings for Tuesday, 12 September 2023 (Please note the NEW DATE), in the Board Room at Lutheran Church of Honolulu, 1730 Punahou Street, Honolulu, HI. Refreshments start at 6:00 pm; readings at 6:15. There is no charge for attending, but I would appreciate an RSVP, so I can plan refreshments and verify we will have sufficient room. Parking is available in the Poki parking lot, a short distance mauka of the church on Poki Street.

Map showing Poki lot, LCH, and Punahou and Wilder Streets:

On the map, locate “plus” button and click it one or two times. When the name for Poki Street appears, locate LCH (should be a red site marker for the church), follow Poki St. mauka of Dominis Street; the large open space beyond the first building on the right is the parking lot for LCH.

For any who are unacquainted with my fiction writing, I draw materials from my Mormon background as well as my journey in coming out as a gay man, in my case in my early fifties. I realized my orientation many years earlier in my life but lived in denial and conformity to Mormonism. It has been an interesting journey. My essays, from which I will likely read, reflect a variety of views on relationships, on the American scene, and on family and friends. Please consider joining me on 12 September.
